I too am a finish carpenter, I got tired of those plugs you have to take out and find some place to store them. They eventually get lost. These stay around your neck all day,and slip on and off with no problem. I've tried other brands,but they either stick too far in your ear or they don't stay in at all. These do a great job of cutting the noise down. My coworkers wanted me to get them some, now we all are wearing them. A satisfied woodworker from South Dakota. P.S. I bought some to put in my shop.
