Reader Reviews This is the perfect case to protect the backside of the iPhone. It's sleek, cool-looking and is at most 1 mm thick. It comes in a variety of colors (I chose the silver to simulate the natural finish of the iPhone). As for the feel and texture of the case, it does have a silicone feel to it and definitely does not have the sure grip that a rubber case would have, but has enough grip to prevent slippage from the hands (which happens alot with the iPhone without any case). Although it is thin, it is sturdy enough to do its job. I've already dropped my iPhone one time already onto a concrete ground without any consequences, except for some scratches and a couple of dents on the case. If you're looking for a case that just protects the backside (I bought a front screen protector from the Apple store), then this is the best one out there, hands down.
